About 34% of the Democrats are pro-life. So the Republicans can't say we are all for abortion.

Moderate Republicans??? We don't hawk endless wars, we defend many of the social programs the Republicans want to destroy. We don't support tax cuts for the rich, and we want a balanced budget. We are NOT moderate Republicans by any means.

Well at one point in my life I was all for Pro-Choice... but my decision has turned the tides... mostly because of experience and knowing so many women who have done it and lived to regret it... I would have to say I'm now Pro-life but we need to figure better prevention education and or methods because it's ridiculous that we continue to battle with this question in this day in age.. However hey as long as we are humans that can err this will be one of our biggest problems.

My personal opinion is that Abortion is a piss poor means of birth control, however I really feel it is a moral question and the government has no business making a moral decision for anybody. I was alive before Roe v. Wade, woman still got abortions. The went to med students and others and it was done in sleaze motels and back alleys and many woman died from infection or bleeding to death, is this what America wants to go back to. I wouldn't want my sister found in an alley bled to death with a coat hanger hanging out of her. While not my sister that has happened.

But Republicans will say almost anything to keep the Dems off balance,

Why do you think people would be shocked at a pro-life Dem?

I would prefer we address the root causes that a person would feel so hopeless in their future prospects that they would not bring another life into this world.

I am a Republican, and not pro-life. A woman should be in control of her own body.
