Dont really understand this question. Of course we have much in common. We are all human beings. I think that the differences between us are cultivated both by whites and blacks. Blacks today seem to behave as seperatists who venerate violating the law and abandoning parental responsibilty. They gravitate to "urban" mannerisms and speech, including broken english and obscentity; they dress, walk, drive, and talk in a fashion that is alarming to mainstream people. When questioned about this behavior, the typical black response is to decry discrimination, threaten violence, or utter racial slurs toward whites. in this way the blacks are self-perpetuating the discrimination they perceive. They say its cultural. Well, my Great Great Grandaddy was a pirate, but i dont wear an eyepatch and carry a parrot on my shoulder. Why? Because everyone would think I was wierd, be threatened by me, or feel me untrustworthy. so it is with the blacks. The discrimination they face today is less about color and more about their unacceptable behavior.

America is now not so much divided on race, but rather on class. So affluent people of all colours have a lot in common, as do poor people of all colours.
It's sad - but money, or lack of it can sometimes be the only factor in bringing people together.

I think some Americans living within the borders of the United States still have a very narrow, provincial view of things and don't believe they have anything in common with people in other parts of the country, much less other races, ethnicities and social groups within their own neighborhood.

No not really...according to Juan Williams in his new Best Seller
"Enough" he clearly falls in line with Bill Cosby unmasking the "Culture of Failure" Blacks not only adhere to but nurture and propagate, from Generation to Generation.

People are people...Black, White, Asian, whatever, most are just trying to get through the day. I don't think there is nearly as much racial discrimination in real life as there is on the TV news.

Yeah, we're ALL human beings with human emotions, human bodies, etc. The difference is the color of the skin and BFD. Skin is only a color - it does not mean the interior is different.
