Go to your local hardware or home center (Home Depot or Lowes) and look in the lawn and garden supply area, there are several styles of repellant available....but having said that I have read that they don't work too well. and now having said that, right next to the baits and repellants there are Mole traps.

There are two styles that i am familiar with, one opens up, you place it into the moles tunnel and the next time it comes through the jaws snap shut and kill it.

The other style sets above the hole/tunnel and when the mole goes through its tunnel the trap slams several spikes into the soil and stabs the mole.

I have used the first "jaw style" trap with sucess several times on my lawn.

I guess it is up to you and how "humane" you want to be, or how squeemish you are about mashed mole....

I have also seen these battery operated spikes that you push into the ground that either vibrate or give off a sound that moles don't like, I don't know if they work either...

Just Google "moles" and you will find lots of info...and the reasons that baits and poisons don't work so well..

Happy mole hunting

I also had moles. Tried Castor oil in holes. Tried moth balls. Even tried a smoke bomb,,sulfer. But the thing that worked best for me was a whirly-gig. Place the stick in the ground where the hole is,and when the wind blows it around it makes vibrations in the hole that drives the mole crazy and he will move to your neighbours.

Castor oil. In a glass jar, combine 1 oz. castor oil wtih 1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid and 1 cup water. Shake jar to mix solution. Pour into watering can and add 1 gallon water. Sprinkle on containers or flower beds or pour directly into mole tunnels. You will have to reapply after a heavy rain.

Could try this, castor oil based.
Repels rather than killing if you believe the literature.
