I have to agree, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is one helluva party game. One of my favorite games has got to be Ninja Gaiden Black (the original was too easy). It is extremely difficult while still managing to be awesome at the same time. Another fun one is Counterstrike, if you have Live. It is such a huge challenge, because most everyone on is hardcore, and they haven't moved over to Halo 2, so they are crazy good, and most i've met have been gracious to noobs as well. (not admitting to anything *glances around shiftily*) If you are looking for a fun random puzzle game, that isn't extremely difficult, then Pac-Man Worlds 2 & 3 are your games. They both feature Pac-Man in 3D worlds where the focus isn't on the pac-pellets, but on the gameplay and surviving the level. Crazy good times.
Other games you might want to try:
Prince of Persia (any of the three)
Dead or Alive (DOA 3 or DOA 2 Ultimate)
Unreal Championship (1 or 2, i favor 1, myself)
Fable: The Lost Chapters (freaking awesome British RPG)
Jade Empire (similar to Fable, but with odd but good Chinese setting)
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (balances ease with great gameplay)
Half Life 2 (if you don't already own it for pc)

Oblivion is the best, followed shortly by Fight Night, Knights Row, and Battlefield Vietnam

Im not a big fan of Star Wars but try Star Wars Battlefront 2, it is one great shooter, you should also try San Andreas, Godfather, Far Cry, and the Ghost recon series.
