Im not a Catholic, and never have been. But what is the deal with the Muslims? He quotes some old emperor regarding their violent proselytizing during his age, and the "Religion of Peace" gets all fired up about being portrayed as violent. Today I read about a nun being killed in Somalia by Muslims, and a couple churches being firebombed. Dont they see themselves? Has the whole world gone mad?

Isn't it interesting that the reaction to the Pope's reference to the violent nature of Islam is answered by Muslims with ... violence?

It doesn't seem like Muslims know how to turn the other cheek. Any insult and they go ballistic. Ain't no peace to it. The major downfall is that they go after innocent people.

Muslims misquoted the Pope and used his speech as an excuse for more violence- their speciality. All they know is killing and maiming. As soon as anyone tells the truth about their cult they go out burning effigies and spilling blood.

The Pope's remarks, and his need to retract them... just prove that, in this screwed up world... even the Pope has to be Politically Correct and even the Pope can NOT tell the truth or call things as they really are.

and it also adds up to the muslims being stereotyped as terrorists...
i do believe that some hidden factor is responsible for making this worse...think about it...how many times has Al Qaeda asked for a Jihad??? by continously angrying the muslims...they might succeed...

its like this... if u say something about buddhism, nobody would care 'coz it wouldn't be true. the reaction is severe only when its true. and without the apology the truth would be "accepted". everyone knows that islam preaches violence. the emperor was better than nostradamus in predicting it!

It is not all Muslims who are violent, in fact their religion does not teach violence. It is the few, Osama and his followers, who give all Muslims a bad name. Osamas' goal is to force all people to be Muslim or kill them.
