Depends how deep is deep. For instance, a phenol peel (regarded as the deepest of the lot) can do permanent harm to the skin on occasion. Which is bad enough for women, as they can to some extent cover it up with makeup, but even worse for men, as they can't.

well there are different types. there are glycolic acid peels, enzymatic and fruit peels, etc. can yoube more specific
