A friend of mine from work has a sister that's been missing on a cruise liner since last week. I heard they don't search the waters if they come up missing. I feel terrible for my friend. What are your thoughts and how would you feel if it was a close friend or family member of yours found missing?

I would be devastated.

I'm so sorry for her. What a horrible thing to happen. It seems to me the coast guard should be called and the authorities. I've seen ABC do a broadcast on people missing on cruise ships and it seems as though the liners have their own jurisdiction. I'd be angry as h*ll and devasted if this happened to me.

I guess I would feel helpless. I can see how hard it would be to search the waters not knowing where, if she fell. But how could you not try. I would hate never knowing what happened. And be thinking the worst things at all times. Good luck to your friend. All you can do is be there for her.
