Life is a multi-faceted concept. Life may refer to the ongoing process of which living things are a part; the period between the birth (or a point at which the entity can be considered to be living) and death of an organism; the condition of an entity that has been born (or reached the point in its existence at which it can be established to be alive) and has yet to die; and that which makes a living thing alive

Life means eternal spirit. The life force that animates the body and mind is the spiritual energy of the Supreme Lord. This is our real identity. There is nothing 'alive' about the body. The body is a bag of chemicals only, all of which can be either manufactured in the lab or procured from a cadaver. Yet, if anyone were to take all the constituents of a human body, put them in their proper places, proper ratios, etc, etc, no one in their right mind would believe this body was 'alive'. It would still lay there as the bag of chemicals it is.

For those who think the body is alive by itself without any need to mention the spirit soul: why has no scientist or doctor or anyone ever given life to a dead body? If this soul-less idea is scientific, then they should prove it in the lab. Make a living body from a dead one. It should be easy with all the medical knowledge we have. The reason that no one has done it is because there is more to life than the body. The body is a vehicle only, nothing more. The driver and occupier of the body is the eternal spirit soul, the spiritual energy of the Lord. Because the soul is eternal and the body is temporary, the soul must leave and find a new vehicle when the body is no longer viable. That leaving is what we call death. In reality the body was never alive in the first place.

Even though no one has proven in a lab that the body is viable without a soul by bringing a dead body to life again, people with very little intelligence in the matter say there is no proof of the existence of the soul. By definition, the soul is spiritual in nature. This means the soul cannot be perceived by the senses and is therefore not measureable or perceivable by any instruments of today's sciences. But this in no way disproves the existence of the soul. What it means is that science today is not up to the task.

Proof of the soul's existence is possible by the process of self-realization. As the name implies self-realization means that the person receives self knowledge of his eternal existence. It is revealed by purification of consciousness to him/herself alone. Just as when you eat a meal and become satisfied, you know your own feelings of satisfaction, but no one else knows this. And to prove to someone else how you felt would be very difficult if not impossible. How do you measure your satisfaction? In the same way, self-realization is the science of knowing the self, the soul, through purification of consiousness. If a materialistic fool has no knowledge of self-realization or knowledge of the soul, this is not a proof of anything but their ignorance. The second chapter of the Bhagavad-gita gives more information than I could put here. So check that out at the link below.

Life... is what u have around u now. Right now as ur reading this.. u are living life. And in the next few or so seconds u can choose to do something else. Same applies to doing/being whatever u wish to do/become in the ahead future, wht u wish to accomplish and contribute to this world as an individual... as all of us are individuals and capable of offering something unique to this world. U may not know what it is tht makes u unique yet.. but it doesnt hurt to find out either. Not everybody was born clever/talented, but we all were born 'curious'.

Stop looking for happiness. Eventually it will come by ur way again... and then go away again. As sadness is temporary.. so is happiness. But its not like its the end of the world either.. perhaps after realising this u begin to start living the 'life' u are leading.

And the worst thing to do trying to avoid it.

Life is a comma because it's an ongoing process and it's unfinished. Sometimes, it brings a pleasant surprise like an exclamation mark. Sadly, at other times, life can be a full stop when it comes to an end. But most times, life is a question mark. You never will know what one's life leads to.

Not a bed of roses. It is to realize the truth of existence. It does not end with death. But death is temporary and part of Life. Life is a chance given to the soul to arrive at the beginning.

For me the inversion to the emptiness. I don't limit my comprehension to a state of life only to a standard definition of organism. Ghost, human, animal, plant, planet, lighting, storm, sea, galactic, star, whole universe, piece of sand... anything you see or sense and can define is a life for me. What is emptiness? You didn't ask for that so I believe you will find this answer yourself.

Life is that infinite spark which keeps your body alive ; which when gone , the body falls dead as inert matter. As long as the current is flowing there is life, when the fuse blows out there is death.
