I think it is the nature of humans, particulary at this point in our evolution to believe that we are this outside force capable of doing alot and doing it poorly.
No doubt much that we do today could contribute to global warming, but I think it is still questionable wether we humans actually caused it...But to answer your question.... Yes.. I think we would by trying to stop global cooling if we were in the midst of another glaciation

Probably, but failure would be inevitable since it is all part of natures pattern. I watched a documentary once, which showed how the global temperature has fluctuated throughout time. It is a bit like the tides of the oceans - if it's not cooling, it's warming and if it's not warming, it's cooling.
It also showed how the amount of pollution we produce has very little effect over this. Apparently the holes in the ozone layer are actually repairing themselves even though our CO2 emissions aren't any lower now than they were a decade ago?

You don't have to go back that far. We had a mini-iceage in the seventeenth century, why do you think they wore all that padded clothing and were able to light fires on the river Thames in the winter Frostfair. And after a huge volcanic eruption in the early nineteeeth century we had the famous year-without-summer, when the harvests all failed. No, we like to think we are so important it is all up to us. Who are we kidding? The eath's orbit wobbles, we have always heated up and cooled down. Nothing much we can do about it babe.

for valuable - we in no way can refrain from meddling, utilizing besides the fact that technologies is available to us, so if 'we', meaning actually 'us' the present inhabitants of the international, were dealing with the appearance of the final ice age, then i think of that there is rather little question that 'we' would all have been inspired to bounce on the band-waggon and be all very self-righteous approximately our very own contribution by potential of enlarging our carbon footprint and utilizing fossil fuels recklessly. beware, all our efforts to alter what we are instructed is international warming (this is supposedly all right down to us - whilst there have been countless plenty warmer perods in pre-historic previous) ought to turn around and chew us, hahaha! the international has carried on turning very fortuitously for some 4 and a nil.5 billion years, and we take place by risk to discover ourselves in an interglacial era with each danger that the subsequent ice age is rather around the corner. it is presently mentioned that ice a protracted time can happen over rather short sessions of time geologically conversing - purely some many years, not to show hundreds or hundreds of years, so it is all and dissimilar's wager.

Here is a good link where you can download winrar for here: http://bit.ly/1BooiXa
You can use winrar to decompress zip files and a bunch of other formats. Other good programs are 7zip and winzip but in my opinion winrar is the best one. Fuctionalities are pretty similar for all programs: basically you can decompress a file simply by right-clicking it and by choosing the destination folder.
Winrar is available for free under a trial licence. The good thing is the trial period never ends so you can use it for free with no limitations.
Winrar opens all formats like .zip, .rar, .7z, .iso, .tar, .jar etc. That's why I recommend it.

You know how we as people are were never happy with what we get. If it's to hot we want it to be cooler and if it's to cold we wasn't it hot. Most are not happy with what they get. So yes I do believe we would have tried to stop the global cooling.

Good question. It would depend on whether we could predict it. Which we probably could, but if we could we could figure out it was occuring naturally (as it will again in about 5,000 years if we don't cause it sooner) and that we couldn't stop it. Then again, we might try anyway. Depends on philosoph.y.

Global warming is caused by humans. It's not a reasonable comparison.
