They all have to undergo annual physical, so I think they probable screen for this.Mostly, pro sports worry about drug abuse, rather than AIDS.

Don't ask, don't tell, baby. Do you really think an agent would let his multi-million dollar meal ticket be exposed and banned from palying a pro sport? I don't. Businesses pollute the air and water so they can make a fast buck, and everyone is rushing to make a dime. Money is the worst thing ever created.

I sure hope you are not trying to say that Williams deserved what was coming to him because of his choice of nightclub. Or how about, that Williams death was his coach's fault? First, they do not go to seedy nightclubs. Where did you here that? They usually go to the top of the line clubs. The coaches only try to interfere when they think that the decisions of the players may effect their game. They also realize that if they don't allow the players to be who they want to be, this may also effect a game so its really a balance.

our knowledge of hiv/aids and its transmission have improved vastly since magic was first diagnosed
most professional athletes, if not all, are vey concerned with their health. it is probably in their contracts that they have to have regular testing for a variety of conditions
if positive, yes, they can still play

No. Not in contact sports. They could get injured and their blood could come in contact with someone elses. I'm not sure how often they get tested, but I would imagine at lease once a year...
