been smoked by Michigan, who according to said Notre Dame Fans, had NO shot in Southbend. SO...i ask again! Is Notre dame a Contender to the National Title, or a Pretender? because i dont think a loss means yer not a contender, but im curious what everyone else thinks.

Hmmm ......I wonder what happened to the Mighty Quinn? Did they not take Michigan seriously? Did ND feel that if they say they are contending for the National Championship status that all others would fall down before them like Penn State did?
Michigan came to play like a serious National Championship contender yesterday. I like Ohio State also. But Notre Dame?? Nawwww..........perhaps they may make top ten..but nothing more.
By the way, I am a PSU alum. Shame on them for last week's game. Morelli is no Michael Robinson.

I like Notre Dame, but after yesterday's performance. . .ouch! But I am the biggest Buckeyes fan you'd ever meet. Go Ohio State! They will be Nat'l Champs! Go Bucks! Ohio State is gonna STOMP Michigan!

they still have a shot...they still have a game against mich st. and usc in which if they play well and come out 2-0 then they will have a shot, if a couple teams on top lose. the rest of their other games they should post blowouts if they play to potential. gotta give credit to mich. though, they played really well and didnt give quinn any time to pass...the result 3 ints. that wont happen again and the OL will protect him better. I honestly believe ND wins out but wont play for the Natl Title...OSU will play auburn who has an easy remaining schedule. i dont think ohio state will lose eventhough i want them too. auburns D is impressive, and defense wins championships.

ND is a joke & U of M showed just how big a joke they are. They probably won't fall out of the top 10, which is a load of bull, but their National Champ. dreams are just that, dreams. Good riddance!!!

they are a Contentder. just because they lost one game dosent mean that they arent going to do something this season...beceause they have been pretty good so far .....people always counts them out but i think that they are going to do it this year its only the thrid game of the season so relax.
