Me and my friends at school have argued over this for months, and no-one as of yet has come up with a decent solid answer, so i've come to the web to get some answers

The bear, they are good at spinning kicks and at using swords. But if the gorrilla had Micky in his corner from Rocky, and the bear snapped his sword, maybe just maybe the gorrilla would have a chance lol Me and my mates had a debate for weeks about how you would sit down if your knees were back to front.

I take it your not talking about a black bear , which is an omnivore, but a brown or polar bear. These are the largest land carnivores on earth. The gorilla is an herbivore, and would not stand a chance against either one,especially the polar bear which has a heavy coat of blubber and claws as long or longer than your fingers. One swipe of these mighty claws would do terrible damage on a gorilla which has no claws at all. The average weight of a polar bear is between 600 to 1300 lbs and measure between 95 and 102 inches in length. The largest ever recorded weighted 2,210 lbs and mounted is 11 ft 11 inches tall. This colossus was shot in Kotzebue Sound Alaska in 1960. An average gorilla is between 5'5" and 5'9" tall.and 310 to 440 lbs.The largest recorded being over 6' and over 600 lbs. Because of their diet of fruits, leaves, shoots, and also insects they often have bloated stomachs. So you see Hollywood has given them a reputation they don' t deserve.

Polar Bear no contest.
Kodiak Bear No contest.
Grizzly Bear No contest.
Black bear the Gorilla would win.
I think the Polar Bear, Kodiak and Grizzly bears are at the top of the food chain in any fight and it would be close but the Polar bear would prevail in a fight between those three.
Think about it. A nearly two thousand pound polar bear against a...what...600 lb gorilla and the weapons they both posses. I saw Russian footage of a huge polar bear Killing and dragging a two ton bull walrus from its hole in the ice. That is raw power.

A Gorilla hands Down. Not only is the Gorilla Stronger and has Teeth also that are Sharp, but a Gorilla has the Ability to Reason somewhat.

It depends on what kind of bear. A polar or a grizzly would probably beat a gorilla. Its a much larger animal with sharp claws and teeth.

okay,lets assume that the gorilla is a SilverBack and the bear is a Grizzly.
Grizzly - 7ft - 600-800 kilos - weapons:Jaws&Claws.
SilverBack - 5.5 - 6 ft - 350-400 kilos -Weapons:Fist&Jaws
according those facts , the bear would kick the gorillas as* :)

if you put them in a ring which they couldn't excape from, probably the bear but if they were in a forest or something, the gorilla could win by being more agile and throwing things at it.
