Since it hasn't, he has decided to upgrade his faith and accept Islam, also being sorry to all the Muslims worldwide for his rant earlier in the week. He claims Bush told him to say so. I believe him! but many wouldn't.

Apology accepted pope, now go forth and spread the word of Islam.

The Pope did not say he was sorry for what he said, only that he was sorry for the reaction from the Muslim community. The Pope would never apologize for his opinions because the papacy is directly desended from the Apostle Peter and the words of the Pope are enlightened by the presence of God. I find it curious that Muslims can burn flags, dance in streets declaring Americans "Devils" but respond with violence at the slightest insult or perceived insult about them. Kinda demonstrates the falseness of their beliefs. Any religion who has followers behaving in this manner has to false and probably designed by the antichrist.

er.. silly, uneducated just a bit? Yea.
The Pope has never claimed to be infallible. Only God is.
There was no rant earlier in the week. It was a homily, or sermon, during a mass in Germany, in which he quoted two sentances from a book. It was not at that time nor presently the popes personal feelings towards Muslims-- just a quote.
Thanks, k bye.

The pope has said nothing to apologize for. He was reading from Medieval text.
I often wonder how many Muslims have read the Koran? There are some revealing insights in Islam's Holy Book

Sorry gentlemen, do not get happy. You have misunderstood the meanings of POPE'S sorry, most cunningly he has once again disgraced the muslims. His words are as follows:-

"deeply sorry" about the angry reaction to his recent remarks about Islam, which he said came from a text that didn't reflect his personal opinion.

"These (words) were in fact a quotation from a Medieval text which do not in any way express my personal thought,"

"At this time I wish also to add that I am deeply sorry for the reactions in some countries to a few passages of my address at the University of Regensburg, which were considered offensive to the sensibility of Muslims,"

Anyone who believes Bush prompted da pope to say anything is stupid. Besides the pope needs to worry about the children being abuses and molested by his priests, how bout he starts with that?

Actually, the Pope did not apologize for his comment. He apologized for Muslims reaction to his comment. These are two very different concepts.
