its said that usual supplements of inositol is about 100mg a day. but this supplment ive seen give 333.3mg (weird no.) per pill and its supposed to be a after-each-meal thing. are there any effects of taking such a high (as compared to usual cases) dosage?

It is being debated whether inositol is a natural supplement or a drug - very high doses can, apparently, have an adverse effect.
If it is a natural supplement in the true sense, then it wouldn't matter in the slightest how much you used, because it would then be classed as a food and your body would simply dump what it couldn't use.

If you are using inositol for its 'second messenger' properties, you would probably be better off taking a look at Glyconutrients. Oh, did I mention I work with the research and development company who pioneered the science? Anyway, hope this might be of some use to you.

Adelle Davis in Let's Get Well says she took 1000 mg of inositol with 1000 mg of choline each day to help her liver produce lecithin. Combination tablets of choline-inositol are available (Swansonvitamins.com).
