There was a Great Depression. Everyweher suffered -- but some places more than others. Some other industrial cities were very hard hit. Google "Jarrow March" for one graphic example.

But places like Coventry and Corby and Luton with then-new industries like steel and carmaking, and Bedford with its brickworks, did relatively well.

Most places were like utopian places, gold paved streets and wine flowing in the rivers. Liverpool was indeed the only poor place. It was the result of some early genetic engineering experiments which resulted in a whole town that thought they were comedians, stole hubcaps from each other and shouted a lot. The rest of the world chose to ignore them, but modern technology means that some " scousers" as they like to call themselves ( liverpuddlian is too long a word for most of them) are gradually becoming aware of the outside world. Albeit slowly

The reason Liverpudlians lived in poverty in the 1930s was because in those days there were no car radios to steal and sell on.

hi. Robert your poem made me imagine and save in concepts my large- grand mothers and fathers, and the tale they informed us of the golden age, i develop into not born contained in the 30's, yet i will see it on your out-status poem by the eyes of the former human beings of a few time previous. The imaginative and prescient, the voice and the mood tell a narrative of a few chuffed and confusing operating human beings . I save in concepts my grand father informed me about his dad writing poems as he walked contained in the woods which includes his mom ; each and every ingredient of nature were an concept to his pen. “.He once informed us that . . once you want to distract your spouse from the discouraging soulness, i will allow you to recognize what I used to do. To take her for a lengthy walk contained in the quiet u . s . a ., amassing wildflowers the following and there, resting lower than the colour of timber, between the unity of the bright bypass and the tranquillity of the mum-nature, and that i'm positive she will be in a position to delight in this very a lot, as you easily will be at liberty for it. those are some sweet concepts that has been putting contained in the again of my head for years and years. thanks for the nice and cozy temperature concepts of the day previous. God bless!!
