Rainbows appear when sunlight shines through water droplets, such as rain or mist. Each water droplet acts as a prism, and divides the sunlight into its primary colors. It appears to us as an arc because of the curvature of the earth.

Enjoy!!

A rainbow appears in the sky when the sunlight refracs off of the water molecules contained in a cloud, giving u a rainbow. Its the same effect as if you were to spray a hose into the light of the sun.

Rainbows are light and you can't touch them. The sun must be shining and must be behind you and there must be water drops in the air in front of you. Sunlight shines into the water drops which act as tiny prisms that bend or "refract" the light and separate it into colors. Rays of a rainbow bend twice. As they enter the drops, the rays are light bent, then reflect off the back of the drops and bend again as they exit the drops.Actually, there is no pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.A rainbow doesn't touch the ground at all!

Because it's an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a nearly continuous spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere.

It must be the Gay Pride Day. Besides you know at the end of the rainbow is a leprechaun's pot of gold and also where all the fairies hang out.

after rain, there are still droplets of water present in the Earth's atmosphere. the effect of sunlight refracting on these multitudes of moisture, will cause the rainbow to appear.

and no, you won't find any gold (sorry!)

it is caused by light from the sun refracting in the raindrops. Of course, it also tells you where to look for a pot of gold, which is important to fairies.
