Ant Bait Recipe:

1 part 20 Mule Team Borax or Boric acid
9 parts of a sweet sticky liquid like maple syrup, honey or Karo syrup

Mix the ingredients. Heating in a double boiler may speed the process. Take an empty margarine tub and poke 4 holes around the bottom edge (entry holes for ants to walk in).

Place a dollop the size of a quarter in the middle of the tub, then put the top back on. This mixture is not non-toxic, however it is less toxic, and that's the key to its success.

The ants carry it back to the nest where they feed it to the entire colony and wipe out the nest.

I like the one take the reason away and they will stay away.the powder will work to but its messy if you want you can mix up some tobacco dust or cigarette and weak dish washing liquid and spray it on them 1 it will kill them 2 it will hide the sent trail they leave when the go back and fort so they cant find there way back there 3 you wont kill and other animals that mite eat the dead ants the tobacco is the killer and the dish washing liquid sticks to them so its a double whammy you can use this on aphids and other pests to just make shore it wont hurt the leave of the plants .

I had a problem with the little ants think they are called sugar ants and I read somewhere that ants will not cross over baby powder, because they breathe threw their skin therefore this would suffocate them. So I sprinkled baby powder under my stove, in the window sill where I knew they were coming in and it has helped, so try sprinkling baby powder in cracks and crevices and anywhere you see them coming in.

Find their path and spray it with store bought poison. Also, you may want to know that ants are attracted to rotting wood. Hopefully , you don't have rotting wood in the frame of your house.

sprinkle black pepper below window sills, across thresholds of doors, near any cracks or crevasses in your home and any where you see them coming in from. They travel single column usually so it's easy to trace back to where they are getting in at.
