How often do you ask your doctor (or any person you come across for that matter) what their sexuality is?
And if a child was knocked down on the roadside, I'm tipping the dad's not going to be saying 'hang on, what way do you swing? YOU'RE GAY? Get your hands off my child! I'd rather he died than be touched by you!'

Would the gay doctor have "Gay Doctor" tattooed on his head??
In a medical emergency sexuality is way down the list of things to talk about so the homophobic father would probably never know!!

Well the father would be a loser if he didnt let a gay doctor treat is child fullstop. But how would the father know this doctor was gay anyway?

The father wouldn't know that the Doctor was gay and I think he would be so concerned about his child anyway that he would not care and would put his prejudices aside.

If the father really loved his child, the doctor's sexual preferrence would be the least of his concerns and just focus on medical treatment. At that moment, it's about the child not himself.

Likewise would a homosexual man who was injured refuse help from a doctor who he knew disapproved of homosexuality?
By the way, what does "homophobic" mean? If a man doesn't approve of homosexuality then he is entitled to have that opinion.. So long as he doesn't do anything illegal.then what business is it of anybody else. "Phobic" seems to suggest something abnormal.

you havent mentioned the sex of the child, or the doctor.
once we know this, and what the homophobia is based on, and the nature of the injury, we might be able to help.
eg, if i had a male child, who scraped his knee, i would let a female doctor, put a plaster on it.
but some religious nut, against all gays.. might not..

Depends on what type of man he is. If he cares more about himself and his ideals then he'd probally let his son hurt. If he's human and all he could see is his son in pain....I think he'd have Bin Laden help his son if he was the most immediate and effective doctor available.

i would like to think if a childs life is in danger the father would be grateful for the help if he is gay or not! he will just have to put aside any feelings he has about gays, afterall what is more important...his childs health or his views?
