I really think there is a place for some of these animals. Not only are we confining them to a cage, they are not living the way nature intended. I don't think they should be pets, this includes jaguars, wolves, bears, tigers, lions. There is too much potential for them to get free and hurt someone other than their owner. I think it is different in cases where an animal farm is trying to shelter the animals that cannot be on their own in the wild. This was a good question. I am glad you asked it...

It's best to leave pets like this in the wild. yes, they do serve a purpose in our ecosystem but not in our houses and apartments. Although some people do get a kick out of licking those toads.
