Skin toner is the last step in cleansing your face, it closes the pores and takes the pH level to normal. Makes your skin look tighter and brighter. Hair toner, tones the brassy color after bleaching or highlighting hair.

Toner actually have several purposes:
1) It balances the PH of the skin after cleansing. Skin is naturally around PH 4.5 to 5.5 and Toner ensures it stays at this PH.
2) To remove any excess dirt and oil that the cleanser was not able to remove completely.
3) Temporarily tightens pores and locks in moisture.

Toner closes your open pores. If the pores are left open then dirt and oil can spoil your skin, which leads to pimples etc. So, toning the skin is a must to have a beautiful skin.

a toner gets the last traces of makeup that the wash/cleanses didnt get...it refreshes too...
