Yes, I am afraid of the dark. As long as their is moonlight or some other source of light coming through the window I am okay.
Complete darkness freaks me out.

No. I am afraid of what lingers in the dark! (lots of scary things in this world that hang out in darkness!)

Yes, and in a way we all are. It is not the dark so much as what the dark hides from us that we fear. The fear of the unknown is very common and is one of the most powerful of all fears. So YES I am.

Used to be as a kid lol would switch my light off and run to my bed before the boogie man could get me lol and made sure my feet didn't poke out the end of the bed

I am 50yrs old and I still go to sleep with the light on. My mum used to say there is nothing in the night that was not here in the day,as you can see it didn't help. LOL
