This is a question only for men and also a bit embarassing and not in the best good-taste, but I just always wondered about it...
When you pee stading you can whether aim at the toilet bowl inside walls or at the water at the bottom in the middle of the bowl. In both cases the urine splashes around, does anyone know in which case the bowl remains cleaner (i.e. the urine is more contained instead of splashing everywhere)?
(NB: This questions applies only to European toilet bowls as the American ones are full with water so you don't really have the choice)

Quite embarrassing to answer. I feel as if I'm giving away a trade secret.
I aim at the back of the bowl just above the water line. This causes bubbles to form on top of the water which then act like a kind of anti-splash agent when the strength of flow lessens and the urine starts to go directly into the water.
Most men have problems with their aim as those with foreskins which are difficult to retract have no idea is which direction the urine is going to go and as such can only react - often too late. Men with prostate gland problems might discover two streams going in completely different directions before the flow becomes just the one.
Urinating standing up might seem a wonderful idea to those who have to remove layers of clothing before performing the act, but at times men can be made to look somewhat infantile by a piece of their equipment which has decided to prove to the world that it does indeed have a mind of its own.

The back wall, otherwise an accumaltion excess will splash back from the bowl. Airborne particles can travel over 6ft which is why you should not keep you toothbrush within this distance. Also try for a constant stream rather than bursts to keep the flow less powerful.

I aim for the back of the toilet, just behind the water, and I nearly always get it in the bowl, nearly anyway, lol ;)
