1. Budget. Never spend for anything not on the budget. Make sure that you put some into savings for vacation and laptop and emergencies (e.g., auto repair, doctor, etc.).

Start a savings account and put away 5% of your paycheck and keep saving money out of each payday. If you find it tempting to raid your savings just remind yourself what you are saving up for. Or for just 25 dollars you can buy a savings bond. they can't be redeemed for 6 months. buy one every payday and then when you have enough money in savings bonds, just cash them in at the bank. You can buy them from a bank in denominations of $50, $100, $500, or %1,000. The best bond to buy right now are series EE. You can buy all the bonds at half the face value. For instance, you can buy a $50.00 savings bond for $25, etc.

I've come across four legitimate opportunities whereby you can work from home. As far as I can tell however, these offers will not supplement a full time job income. You can definatly make some extra spending money on the side (as I have) through these sites and the best part of it is that you will never give these people a credit card number or money. It's as simple as joining and discontinuing participation if you discover it's not for you. Basically these offers involve reading emails, surveys and refering other people to join the site through a link you're provided with. The sites are below if you're interested. Good luck
