What I witnessed today has to be one of the worst examples of biased and pathetic officiating I have ever seen. During the game an obvious and blatant onside kick infraction was witnessed by a national television audience.

The onside kick rule clearly states that the ball has to travel at least 10 yds, before the kicking team can recover it (if not touched by the opposing team first). Video replay clearly showed, from several angles, that the Oregon player touched the ball first, after only traveling 9 yards. Both television announcers (one being an Oregon homer) saw it the same way and said it was conclusive evidence, that awarding the ball to Oregon should be rescinded. The announcers never noticed the ball was NOT even in the pile--it had gone downfield and was picked up by an OU player. Video on the link

However, the officials came back with the ruling that an Oklahoma player had touched it first. Now I'm not blind, nor do I believe the announcers are either. The Oregon player clearly made contact with the ball before anyone else and clearly before it had traveled 10 yds.

Another blown call was made on the subsequent drive. On a pass interference call, replay clearly showed the ball was tipped at the line as its trajectory was changed. The result of that should have been waiving off of the pass interference.

Both of these plays were reviewed and should have been corrected. They weren't "judgment calls" as the video exhibited proof of what truly happened.

That was dreadful. The pick-up of the flag against LSU in the Auburn game was bad enough, but Oregon was handed the game against Oklahoma.

The thing that is scary is that Oklahoma recovered the ball! Oregon never had possesion all the videos show it. Why they said Oregon recovered the ball I don't know it is extremely disturbing.

I am glad you brought this up. Are the referees cheating or are they just incompetent? What also makes this more pitiful/ridiculous is that they have instant replay and still can't get it right.

Don't forget the terrible officiating in the LSU-Auburn game and the pitiful instant replay reviewing.

Oklahoma...I was pulling for them last night..I think they needed to be more aggressive and dont reply/put your kicker in a bad position. Make it eassier on your Kicker and play better offense etc. It was there game and they lost it because of stupidity. B MORE AGGRESSIVE OK!

Are you kidding me? There were also some calls that Oklahoma got that should have gone the other way. Don't blame the refs for allowing Dennis Dixon to run for 16 yards for a touchdown. Don't blame the refs for Oklahoma not recovering the onside kick. Don't blame the refs for allowing a WIDE OPEN receiver to score a touchdown and don't blame the refs for the blocked field goal.

These four things mentioned would have not allowed the Ducks to win, and it was Oklahoma that killed themselves...not the officiating.

Oklahoma was graced with quite a few calls themselves... They had 2 delay of games that they didnt get called on and they ended up in decent plays... But Oklahoma could have won that game even with the calles... IF THEY COUND TACKLE AND DEFEND... it would have been over.

Yes........as bad as the Fla/Tenn game later. Too many non-calls, bad calls, and inconsistency.
