Abdominal hysterectomy: 4 to 8 weeks.

Vaginal or laparoscopic hysterectomy: most women are able to return to normal activity in 1 to 2 weeks.

Depends did she have the virginal hysterectomy or was she cut. Further more she should speak to her gynecologist. Remembering every woman is different in her recovery.
