I`m in love with woodwind instruments & what they can do for a song.
Some of my faves are:
- the oboe(?) in `Twist in my Sobriety~Tanita Tikaram
-the flute(?) in `Land Down Under`~Men @ Work
-the oboe/clarinet in `Everything Counts`~ Depeche Mode

Any other great songs with catchy woodwind bits?

Any old school DMB song. That's Dave Matthews Band. They had a sax player in the group. That IS a woodwind.

I'm surprised you're not into Jethro Tull then...Ian Anderson brought the flute seriously into rock...you should definitely check out at least a greatest hits album of theirs.
Some very early Motown records also had great flute solos...Marvin Gaye's "Stubborn Kind of Fellow" (a favorite of mine anyway) is an example...
and if you really want to hear great woodwinds, I might suggest some big band classics...Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller were great clarinetists, and some of their best tracks not only still hold up, but still really do swing

"Bhindi Bhagee" by Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros is a really catchy tune with a great flute part

The Pogues' music heavily features tin whistle (almost a recorder); you might start with "The Irish Rover" or "Sally MacLennane"

Great saxophone stuff is too numerous to mention. Where would James Brown and Stax Records be without saxophone?

Early King Crimson is heavy on winds. "In the Court of the Crimson King" album is a standard.
Of course, saxophones and harmonicas are woodwinds too.
