the only way to get rid of it is to stop supporting it. some people feel they dont need to work when they get help for free.

Yes. Moreover, there is enough to allow the greedy among us to keep their riches, there's no need for genetically altered plants and animals, and no need to produce the food here.

But humans are like a weed. We cannot continue to grow uncontrollably, or we will crowd out too many other species to survive. We can be okay if we produce fewer people, especially in the developed world.

Good question, thanks.

I think it's not possible. Yes, I think theoretically it is possible. There is not one mind on how to solve poverty, so no, the world cannot feed itself. It feeds on itself.

Yes, there have been studies.

The communist idea of equality of wealth led to economic stagnation.
People need a catalyst to succeed and to try harder, as yet only the promise of wealth makes people try.
the result is that some people have more and some less, so in every community there will be relatively rich and poor.

ending poverty isnt realistic. you would have to take money away from alot of people who have worked for it. besides, every country should deal with their own problems first, then worry about others. however, even this isnt happening.

Yes it is possible (theoretically speaking). However probably it won`t happen soon. Maybe it will happen in a new world, or in a distant future.
