There is no reason a girl needs to wait until a guy proposes. Mere tradition. So, go for it. Personally, I'd have been fine with it, if my wife had asked me to marry.

It sounds old fashioned but talk to him and ask him what his intentions are. If he doesn't ask you within a reasonable amount of time then move on. Why should he receive all of the benefits of a wife without giving you the respect of one. If you propose to him you will be setting a pattern for your marriage if he accepted of you taking the lead in all things. For this you don't need extra baggage and can do that easily on your own without the heartache.

No, a girl needs to have a "purpose" as much as a guy does. I always made sure to strive to reach my purpose.

no its not however it may become a blow to the man as he may feel less of a man couse of that you can mention to him that this relationship should go to the next level and talk about it and if there is good vibes then within 6month he will ask you but make him feel comfortable

you can ask him but what if he isnt ready???? are you so sure at 19 years old you are ready to commit every day of your life with him, socks and underwear,, weight gain, job lose,,moving,, sickness and in health???
where do you see yourself in 5 years,, 10 years, 20 years?
