firstly, the whole of UAE is rich in oil and the government earns money from the businesses, where expatriates pay fixed amount for registration, insurance costs etc.
also dubai is rich in foreign trade, hotelism etc.

Not at all!! Income generated is not being taxed but other things are being taxed like house rent agreement, hotels, airport travel and surprise, surprise..next year VAT might be introduced.

don't worry the gov will impose tax next year...... I had heared this in the TV and the newspaper.
