i can't be pregnant because i have a contraceptive implant but i have been getting terrible morning sickness, a face full of spots also moodswings and irregular periods. is there anything apart from pregnancy that could cause these symptoms? my doctor did a blood test on friday but i have to wait a week for the results. any ideas?

Your contraceptive implant could easily be causing all these problems. If the symptoms continue (and you determine that you are not pregnant) you should go back to your GP and discuss other forms of contraception.

i think you did the right thing by going back to see the doctor, you should wait till the result comes out nervous as you might be, as any other answer might add more to your worried thoughts, so for now just try to be yourself and discover more clues as i have heard that some can get pregnant even with contraceptives on the other hand it might be that you are not compactible with that form of contraceptive as you didnt state how long it is since you started using it..... but whatever it is dearie, it wont be fatal...
Take care!

i got implant in, i had irregular periods, spots and bad pmt for about 3mths, then it all settled down and i had just alittle spotting every mth, but after about a year i started getting alot of headaches and was having heavey periods every 2 weeks, don'nt know why after i'd gone a year without any problems my body just rejected it so i had to get it took out.
Now i get the depo (pill injection) every 3mths, i get no periods at all, but starting to get bad pmt, just gona put up with it as don't want to go on pill, fell pregnant twice on nomal pill.
Been having injection for about 2 years now, i think its great.
So maybe your boby is rejecting implant aswell, i wound have a word with your nurse about it!

well in some cases, there's girls that are about to get their period and have almost the same symptoms as a pregnant person.
