He wanted His word spread. Read Matthew 28:16-26. It's the "Great Commission" and in it Jesus tells his disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." I guess that's clear enough and the reason why Christians proselytize.

hehe god is jesuses dad ,dont have no idea who his mum is hehe and churches are a place for his followers to go ,a metting place if you like for the easily lead haha,
