There was this FX series Black White that was shown in rerun. The Caucasian man in the project, Bruno, seem ti think racism and Jim Crow doesn't exist. that be you Hispanic, Black etc, you would generally be treated as any white person it all comes down to your attutude and out look. He also said he was never stopped by the cops for no reason. I would find that strange. Since I started driving, and I have been driving more than 25yr as a minority. I have been stopped 6 times, that I can remember, for no apparent reason. Tailed for blocks 3 times but not stopped. And twice been stopped on foot and questioned why I was in the neighborhood I was in. How many times have you been stopped and dressed down?

Lets break it down:
Stopped, line of questioning, was it my car(appeared too nice for me to be driving)
Stopped; twice heading for work graveyard. reason said, was driving 30mhp in the left lane of a 35mph street.
Stopped twice while working as a paper carrier and the cop SEEN ME toss the paper onto 2 drive ways. Like of Questioning; what was I doing? Duh! Those are just some of the suppose reasons.

there iss always a areason why a cop stop you when driving a car a truck of any vehicle down the street. the cop is not foolish to just stop you from nothing else whether you violated the law, or wanted to say something to you or wanted anything from you. it is not bad to b e stop by a cop on the street just talk to him in a nice way and friendly to him no matter how many times you have been stopped

i've been pulled over many times[10-15] in my driving career[40+yrs] most of the time it has been my falt[ speeding etc] i never falted a cop for his job.. my problem with the police is that most of the time they DONT do their job[ but thats another story]. i did get puller over once while driving in a "black neighborhood"[i'm white].."what are you doing in this neighborhood?" was their reason.... "none of your buissness" was what i wanted to say .. but of course i know better...... another instance , many yrs ago my friend was attacked by an older man while we were [ 3 of us ] standing by a trainstaion waiting for my friends aunt . we flagged down a patrol car only to be questioned harrassed and followed out of town buy the police.. it turned out the older man who jumped my friend for no reason , was a retired cop....we should have sued the dept but you know how that goes i'm sure.....another time [even longer ago] 2 gangs of us from 2 diffrent towns, all white except for 1 black guy , were gathered in what was then known as a "war council"[ getting ready to fight eachother] when the cops showed up the only one they questioned was our black friend... we all [including him & the other gang] made a big joke out of that but i'm sure when he thinks of it it still hurts his feelings........that was back in the early 60's.. you'd think things have changed....alas...
