Screensavers are a very high risk for adware & spyware embedded in the software.
1) You don't say the name of the firewal that is being used by you.
2) Zone Alarm is the very best and you can download their free version from www.zonealarm.com or www.download.com --
3) Another excellent program that will help to avoid programs with strange behaviour an is designed for zero day attacks. (attackes that come before a signature can be written for the virus from the software company you use to protect you).
www.cyberhawk.com This program is free has a unique scanner that runs in the background with little or no extra use of your resources. It evaluates every software you download for strange and unusual behavior. If it determines that the program is not normal, your will get a pop-up advising you to either abort the program or install. (Myself I trust this zero day attack free software and will abort as they use the behaviours of software download from users all over the world. The program requies no signature virus or spyware updates.
4) Always if possible when you download a program, click save to documents or where ever you desire to save the program. As it is much safer then just running the program.
If you save you can, open and scan the sotware for embedded trojans or spyware with what ever antispyware or antivirus program that you are using. If your scan finds and removes an adware, trojan, or any kind of malware, the program when you install your screensave will not work because you broke the "EULA". (End user Lic. Agreement).
I am sure this is the case with your screensaver as your antivirus or antispyware removed their embedded malware.
Go to add/remove, and remove the screensaver if it is there. If not, open start - run - type c://program files -click on browser, click on program files & open. Look for the name of the screensaver. Try and delete, if it says being used by another program then reboot your system and go back and then it should remove.
The "EULA", is not carved in stone as there any many rogue software companies that don't even include in the lic, agreement that they also packed adware/spyware.
Once you have the screensaver removed always reboot your pc.
Good Luck.

If you have downloaded a screensaver from a site that specialises in them and wallpapers etc and you got it for free then it will almost certainly be bundled with adware. If you have an anti-spyware package it has probably isolated or removed the adware which in turn is breach of conditions for running the screensaver so that will stop functioning too.
Personally I wouldn't have installed it in the first place and if you do download them make sure you check the small print prior to installation.
You may be able to re-install this screensaver, do a spyware scan and tell the scanner to ignore the problem but I really wouldn't.

Screensavers are the number one carrier for malware, avoid downloading ones that update over the net, link to a net based database or don't come from a company you actually know. To be honest unless you really need one they are just gloss, set your monitor to powersave mode and have it turn off instead or download one that does good like SETI or Climate Prediction Experiment.
What is said above about your anti-malware products removing the screensaver because it was in infected is highly likely.

you need to call in a specialist or deliver it someplace. the position are you getting those viruses from?? I easily have had a laptop for 10yrs and under no circumstances once have I ever gotten an endemic. do not open emails that you do not recognize who they got here from, and do not bypass to web content that you do not recognize, and same is going for downloading unknown internet sites. :-)
