Go to tools and then to internet options. Click on clear history. It will delete everything in your address bar. Also, if you click the content tab and then select auto complete, you can shut off that function all together.

Go into Tools -> Internet Options and click on the button to clear the cache. You can delete your cookies and history while you're at it too.

if you are using IE, go to TOOLS/Internet Options and in Genral tab there is "days to keep pages in history" and select 0.
Once you shut down the pc, the pages you habe visited will dissapear.
