How do I upgrade my desktop? What are the steps, what kind of problems I will encounter (eg. Bios etc), how much budget should I expect to get the desired results.
Ok my current system specs are as follows.

Current system specs

Motherboard
Intel (Santorini) Motherboard 933MHz Pentium III R2

Memory -
256-MB 133/100/66-MHz 64-Bit 4-Clock 16x16 SDRAM DIMM

Hard Drives -
Western Digital 40-GB 7200-RPM Ultra ATA/100 Hard Disk Drive

What I want is a mother board of about 3 GHz capacity Pentium 4, Memory of about 1 GB, hard drive 80 GB (I have only one slot for the hard drive left so I have to remove the old one and install a new hard drive),
finally I want to intall a Geforce 3D video card that is lacking on my desktop for faster graphics (please advice what capacity of Megabytes is prefrable lets say for a game of Delta force Typhoon Rising kind, just for example),
maybe a tv tuner card.

Do I need to change the bios? Or is it built in the new mother board (lame question, sorry)?

There is nothing called "change the BOIS",
the BOIS is some kind of system that recognize the hardware attached to the motherboard, it is installed within the motherboard, so yes it is built in the new motherboard
