some teams give them out after games to players who make a big play during the game.(interception,fumble recovery,td,ect.)

Some teams call them Pride stickers. Its the adult version of getting a star put on your paper from the grade school teacher.

For offensive players, it probably represents touchdowns and for defensive players, it usually represents tackles or sacks!

To hold them together. It was either stickers or duct tape. I would have used the duct tape myself.
