anything below 140/90 is considered safe (130/85 would be a high normal reading).
mild hypertension up to 159/99, moderate hypertension up to 179/109, severe up to 219/119.
I suffer from high blood pressure and with medication have readings of around 130/80 which my doctor is happy with. (i am 29).

if you are worried then see your gp, reduce your salt and fat intake and take more vigorous exercise.

I had preeclampsia in my first. Your numbers are fine. 120/80 is about the highest you want to go, but even over that isn't necessarily bad. My average reading is 130/85 and while I am being watched for preeclampsia in this pregnancy (and scared of having it), getting stressed about your numbers is not going to help. Don't be afraid to take control of your health - at each appointment you should ask your doctor a few things: -What your bp numbers are and if they are high or normal -How your urine sample was,- specifically if they found any traces of protein in it Protein in your urine is another sign that can be more clarifying than swelling, because most pregnant women swell at some point, preeclamptic or not. There is no need to feel embarrassed. Taking responsibility for your health by asking questions only shows you want to take the best possible care of this baby that you can. Good luck!

I suffer from High blood pressure. The first reading should be approximately your age + 100 (i.e. about 160), the second reading should be about 80. Anything over 90 is a bit on the high side. If you are at all worried you should see your doctor
