I felt my son kick when I was around 16 weeks pregnant. I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with my second baby and started feeling movement around 14 weeks. Usually people tell you on average you really feel it at 20 weeks but if you know what it feels like from a previous pregnancy you can detect it sooner.

As far as the ultrasound..I was the same way. I could not wait and was so anxious about it. I found that doing a lot of activities..be it cleaning, nesting, extra activities with my son helped passed the time and keep my mind off of it somewhat. It seems to take forever when your so excited about it but then it finally comes. I had my sonogram 2 weeks ago and found out that I'm having a girl and I'm thrilled so now I can relax about that. Don't worry your chance will come too! Best of luck..try to hang in there.

Doctors think they know everything and Im sure that in certain things they are correct. But is even worse when a doctor that has never been pregnant is telling you that.

I started feeling my daughter kick around 13-14 weeks.

So if you think that's what is it then no one else should contradict you because you are the only one who knows.

Hey you could look at old wives tales about sex prediction or look to see what you are having based on the chinese lunar calendar for gender prediction

I am 25 weeks and have been feeling my girl kick since I was 14 weeks. The pregnancies have the more aware you are of what you are feeling.
The only way to stop wondering is to get an answer at your u/s that is coming up everything else is just old wives tales and a bit of luck

i am 16 weeks too and i just finished telling my husband that i felt mine last night too. i was thin before i was pregnant (not sure if that is why) but i definately felt something - you having already had one so you would know what you were feeling so that makes me think i was right and that mine is moving too.

i am seeing my ob tomorrow - i have been wondering what it is but now i am a little scared to find out - i have heard stories recently where they got it wrong and i only want to know if they are quite sure.

Anyway - i hope i am not the only one with a baby bump at 16 weeks. it popped right out this week. someone even commented on it today.

good luck - i think you were feeling that baby too - how exciting

i hope matt is right - hubby wants a boy - we will he happy as long as it is healthy either way though

20 Weeks is an average. It depends on the size of both you and the bub. 16 weeks is early, but it is still possible.

If you really want to know the sex of the baby ask. They may not be 100% but who cares right?
