"Former" my butt! The "Soviet Union" May have changed their name to "Russia" to give us the illusion, But answer this, Why do SOVIET TROOPS still occupy these so-called "Independent -Nations"? Why do they continue to slaughter people in Chechneya, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and most other "Stan" nations on it's southern borders? Because they have to keep up the illusion of a democracy to satisfy the Americans they are no-longer a threat is why. Nothing there has changed except their name. God Have Mercy On Those Who Live There. Hope this answers your question. 1st Sgt., 7th Special Forces, (Ret.) Vietnam "67"-"70"

I had to go read a little about it. It seems that there are some really awful things happening there. I don't think that it is unique.
