I do not think so, I have just read Owen expects to be in plaster for 3 weeks, then he has to see what will happen, I just hopes he comes back even stronger. As for Steve choosing Aaron Lennon, he can not because he is going to be out of action for 6 weeks after a operation on his knee yesterday.

I really hope not, even though Hargreaves is injured, even though Lennon is injured, he is not good enough. He gets the ball in midfield , looks up and plays the long ball. All the time. He is not good at going past people or tackling back, can't use his left foot, he's not even the best free kick taker, Gerrard, Lampard (and Hargreaves) are all equally as good. He just brings with him a media circus that does affect the rest of the team, the best thing Engalnd have done in years is drop him

I hope not. Forget the pretty boy looks, and the 'leader of fashion' headlines. The bloke is finished at International level. In fact, he never really done anything of note for England since the equaliser aginst Greece a few years back. For a player who is our so called free kick specialist, to score one goal from a free kick in three years is not good enough. Hargreaves injury is a shame as he was just starting to blossom, but i think Carrick can do a job in the same position.

Absolutely not. I think when he resigned the England captaincy he knew in his own mind (he may already have been told) that he would not be an automatic choice for England and might not even make the squad. He underperformed for England for a long time and it was only Sven's unwarranted loyalty that kept him in the team. McClaren was anxious to break any ties with Sven and prove he is his own man. For this reason as well he will not recall Beckham. Beckham is finished at international level and it would be a backward step to recall him. I would prefer to see young Walcott play.

Doubt it. Big MaC seems bent on severing any hint of an Erikkson influence - that's why Beckham was dropped in the first place. What a pity!!
Owen Hargreaves is a revelation and it is most saddening to hear of his broken fibia - "Get well soon!!"

Steve McClaren should recall David Beckham for ENGLAND's next match as Beckham have said before that he still wants to play for ENGLAND & completes a century of caps.

No not really. Hargreaves is a holding midfielder - Beckham certainly isn't.
I would play Scotty Parker

I think Beckham will be back but not because Hargreaves is out, he will be brought back when Mclaren realises his bin such a prat and asks becks to come back.

eh, david beckham is the single most over rated player in the history of football, he lacks any leadership qualities, he lacks pace, he can cross a ball, he is an example of the media and corporate sponsors getting a player to stardom for their own gain, ie gillette hsve sponsored him and he has to play a role in the england set up or they (english fa) will lose money as gillette will withdraw sponsorship
