May be touchy and sensitive question. Will U.S. win in Iraq, Afganistan, and overall Muslim world? Why or why not?

U.S.' not rach her mission in Vietnam didn't hurt U.S. that much.

First of all I have to apologize if I will insult someone but this is how it looks. The war in Iraq is not noble and is not for a noble cause. Don't think that I'm some kind of a pacifist, no, I am a professional soldier, I love my job. But we are not freeing France from Hitler or fighting the Japanese. The US was not attacked by Iraq with direct combat action. A terrorist does not represent a country. The only way the US could win is by showing Iraq and the whole world that they are better, the yr politics is friendlier, the yr people are kind and happy. People must look up to you and want to be like you not thinking of reasons to make you an enemy. Yes, oil is a global problem and its very complicated to understand the political game over and around it. But victory starts from a single person from a single American who will lead his nation to prosperity. Think about it.

Not the way they are going now.

The violent, arrogant, and ignorant behaviour of the US gouvernment and military has created a breeding ground for terrorists and guerilla, not only in the affected areas, but all over the Muslim world. And a guerilla that is supported by the people can't be defeated, unless you trump terror by even more atrocious behaviour (pronounce "genocide")

The defeat of the US will be of their own making. Into the bargain, the "war on terror" has alredy made the US from a well-liked democratic country into a nearly universally hated bullying semi-faschist state.

The US mission in Afghanistan is nearly complete. It was to eliminate Al Qaeda's training base and get the new Afghan government on its feet. The same applies to Iraq, where the mission was to remove Saddam's regime and install a new government.

Can it ever be considered complete even if terrorists continue being a problem? Yes. Even Saddam had to fight against those Islamist terrorists and nobody doubts that his rule of Iraq was 'complete'.

it's never going to end at this rate, it's too bad. not to mention we are not "winning" by any stretch of the imagination. in fact, more terrorists and haters of the U.S. are being created everyday. i wish Bush would understand all these points.

Even the cowardly Democrats know that IF WE LOSE----THE WHOLE WORLD LOSES.
This is about freedom in the world, not just Iraq.

Good question. Thank you.
