I just got back from seeing Eric Clapton, and I'd have to say that was a massive waste of money. Local bands don't count.

Definately, The Who, at the Pontiac Silverdome, in 1982. Oppresive atmosphere, general seating, the first Farewell Tour. Rote "greatest hits" set. I had been a fan for years, drove three hours, and was greeted with this...suck!
PLUS...two opening acts! One was Eddie Money, at his "I Think I'm In Love" stage.
However, the other "opener" was The Clash. I treasured their performance. In their half hour, they cut completely through the stadium environment and gave a heart stopping, memorable performance that I will remember, probably, for a long time to come.

But, getting back to the basic question, The Who sucked balls...

Dinosaur Jr at the Anaheim House of Blues last year. The reunified J Mascis/Lou Barlow Dinosaur tour. A huge fan of the later works like 'Green Mind', 'Where You Been?', and 'Bug' and admittedly unfamiliar with the early Mascis/Barlow collaborations, I was very unimpressed except for 'Freak Scene'.

Roger Waters on the "Pros and Cons" tour. He did the entire album as a dreary set piece that was sleep-inducing. He opened the show with a brief run-through of old Floyd material that seemed more than a little half-hearted. It was also later common knowledge that he had a voice tape running "in case my voice fails". Dismal.

Yeah, Clapton's had it really. Sting and Phil Collins are two more real bores.
Also, I don't like it when groups or artists start late. Then the whole audience starts clapping and whaling and I find that is really annoying.

Panic! at the Disco
I paid to see The Academy Is.. and Panic! was playing also and I thought theyd have a good live show but it was just horrible. The singer had no stage presence at all compared to William Beckett (The Academy Is...).

The Cars were awful, I saw them in late 80s, worst concert ever. I also saw Springsteen on his tunnel of love tour, bad very bad, I was so disappointed.

I highly recommend Jonny Lang; I've seen him numerous times and I always get my money's worth.

Todd Rungren at the Tower outside of Philly. Jack Bruce, the bassist from Cream, opened for him and kicked his butt all over the place.
