Oh gosh everyone is trying to gain 10 points by saying ppl they love or feelings. Let's be real. The best gift I ever got was some brownies that my friend made me for my birthday because it's the only kind of gift where I know the person spent time thinking of what I liked and making it. Most ppl just get me giftcards, items that I never ask for, or things (usually toys and clothes) that I did ask for (when I was younger). Don't get me wrong, money is nice, but it is the MOST thoughtless gift ever. I don't like it when ppl give me money. Items I never ask for just catch up dust. Items I do ask for also just interest me for a while and then are thrown away. But brownies, they are eaten, enjoyed, and remembered for being thoughtful 4 years later.

Not that u asked, but the worst gift I ever got was a yellow jelly bean doll with a big red stain. -_- It was from a good friend too and it was not a joke. I don't know why she gave me that. I felt to embarassed to ask her why. In fact, it has never ever been mentioned since.

I guess that person that said people are saying that the people in their lives are the best gifts are doing it for the points, doesn't get it. The best gift in life IS the people in your life. I have received amazing gifts...cars, diamonds etc..but how can that even compare to my daughters' smiles?!! It is crazy! Hands down, I would sell/give away/throw away a million things, but my daughters are the most amazing wonderful gift anyone could hope for. Don't believe me? Ask any parent!

my son when he was 5 saved his birthday money (which amounted to 12 dollars) and used it all to buy me a really nice coffee mug cuz im always tellin everyone i just cant make it thru the day without my coffee. well after he wrapped it he was carrying in to his room to hide it til my birthday, and he tripped and fell and the mug busted into about a dozen pieces. he tried to glue it best as he could and when he gave it to me on my birthday he started to cry when i unwrapped it. it looked really awful and definitely couldnt hold any liquid. but i told him i loved it and i put a styrofoam cup inside it and i use it every day. every time i look at that cup i think of him and how he used all his birthday money and how it hurt him so much when he broke it and how hw tried so hard to fix it and then was so worried i wouldnt like it,, it brings a tear to my eye still....and hes 19 now!
