There's a very good reason why the gender of your child is left to chance. Don't try to mess with a perfectly good system which has evolved over millions of years.

Only by when you have sex and that is not a "failsafe" or definite guarantee - it just ups your chances slightly.
Basically for a girl you need to get your egg fertilsed by a sperm with an X chromosome and for a boy its a Y chromosome. apparently, the X Chrom. sperms live longer but swim slower. The Y sperms are faster but don't live as long.
They say that for a girl you would need to have sex a few days before you ovulate and then abstain. That way all the Y Chromosome sperms will die off and the X ones will be left, plus the X sperms will have time to get up to the egg. If you want a boy you have to have sex near as possible to when you ovulate, because that way the fast swimming Y sperms will get there first.
Of course, you have to find oput when you are ovulating for this to work. If you get hold of a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler (order it from Amazon.co), it not only tells you how to pinpoint your ovulation time by taking your temperatures and observing your body signs but there is even a chapter in there about how to influence the gender of your baby.
Don't assume every woman ovulates on day 14 of her cycle - thats nonsense. Some of us could ovulate on day 9, some on day 16, some on day 20, it depends on you and you can only tell by checking your OWN body, not ayone elses!
As I said, this doesn't guarantee you'll have a boy or a girl, it just ups your chances. The only way you can guarantee the sex is to pay for expensive "designer baby" IVF treatment. And even that doesn't always work.

I read the day of ovulation for a boy or day after and 2-3 days b4 for girl- more frequently for girl to down the amount of male determining sperm. I tried this theory for a boy-everyone said it was a girl I was having , but I did have a boy but I suppose it was a 50/50 chance so just a 1off as evidence, it could just have been luck, but I'll be trying the theory for a girl next. Just a bit of fun really don't care either way as long as healthy.

Nothing is guaranteed, but you can try the chinese lunar calendar (a suprisingly high level of accuracy!) and having sex a couple of days before ovulation for a girl or on your ovulation day for a boy. If you are going to be really unhappy if it's not what you hoped for then you shouldn't be having a child, health should be your main priority.
Also, the sex of your baby is determined at conception, nothing you can do after that will change the sex of your baby!

Well men hold the actual decision of whether a woman has a girl or a boy. But u could try to conceive using the Chinese lunar calendar for gender prediction.

besides some illegal genetic tampering there is no definite way of influence the gender. you will heard all the myths and its up to yourself to believe them or not. however what i can say for definite before we had our first child i was hoping for a boy instead we had a girl and do you know what? i can't put her down she so damn cute and healthy she makes me smile every day and I'm usually a grumpy person.
your question is quiet normal and i hope you get answer that will solve your dilemma

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/OKlM8
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

No, no matter what anyone says, no. Especially about male and female sperm, they don't have gender they just carry different genetic information. It's 50/50 no matter what you do, but don't worry about the sex of the baby, you'll love it to bits no matter what.

there is this website, that tells you when you're ovulating- if you put in your last period date, and it creates a calendar for you where it tells you when you're fertile most and things like that.
Also, on that same calendar, there are the options: "try for a girl" or "try for a boy". And if you click on one of them, the calender will tell you on which day you should have sex, and in which position. Anyways, check it out if you want..
P.S. - In order to use it, you will need to register

My best friend is a geneticist and has told me there is no way or method you can influence the gender of the child you will have.
If they told you you can its a myth....
