I think that we did loose that day, especially for the reasons you sited. What's more is that we haven't even caught a man who rides camels. We are the world's super power nation, and we can't even do that?! They wanted to cause fear, they got that. They wanted to kill Americans, in that they also succeeded. Moving forward, what do we do about it? Our government stopped pictures from being released because they knew that the same thing that happened with Vietnam would happen here. We'd revolt, and that's something that we should do. In my humble opinion anyway. Thank you, for being pissed about this, most important issue!!!!!

There was never a war on terror. 'War on terror' is just a propaganda slogan used by the Bush administration to keep the public afraid and allow it to do what it wanted. Bush doesn't give a hoot about protecting Americans from anything. He demonstrated that clearly during the Katrina disaster. The U.S. death toll in Iraq will soon outstrip that of 9/11, and all Bush is doing about that is finding new reasons to justify the invasion when the old ones are proven false. Democracy is just the latest excuse for according oil contracts to rich friends. The Bush administration is only interested in holding on to power and plundering America for the benefit of a tiny elite of Bush friends.

the war on terror will never "end". if you think you are on a long road to recovery, good for you, i think the worst is still to come. on 9/12, it could not be "business as usual" because life was not "as usual" the terrorists didn't if anything "win" on 9/12, we were just very harshly "woken up" the day before. our country needed each other and business had to wait, planes had to be grounded, we needed "re-group" and assess damages. yes, it was devastating to find out that our government could let such a thing happen, but it did, and it will continue. it is very sad. if you think they have won, then you let them win.

First off, you have lost none of your personal rights. You may choose to give them up, but you will not lose them.
That's a terror technique right there.
Trying to make this United States into a police state is almost as bad as mobsters.
Yea, the terrorists are meeting their goals.
And for every American that will give up their rights or have limits placed on their rights, just so they can feel more safe, I say fine.
I have nothing against them.
Just don't terrorize me, by your insecurities.

9/12 bothered me also. All that talk on 9/11 about keeping America’s economy and Wall Street strong fell flat on its face. Americans could not bail out fast enough. Within a week, the airline industry is crying, filing bankruptcy (as if they were financially sound the week before), and getting boatloads of money from the government. It’s true, America laid down and rolled over, just like when Cheney makes Bush do tricks to entertain his dinner guests.
9/11 did not scare me, but 9/12 did. Sadly, things have gotten worse. For all their tough patriot talk, conservative republicans from the stupidest white-trash Christian fundamentalist to the President (okay, so he is a stupid RICH white-trash Christian fundamentalist) are an embarrassment to our nation. They are, without question, the most cowardly, hateful, bigoted, ignorant, and uneducated Americans in the history of our nation.
Think about it, their opposition to the indisputable truth of the scientific theory of evolution puts them exactly in the same position as the Vatican maintaining that the sun revolves around the earth long after everyone in the world knew otherwise. (I apologize if the Copernican universe idea caught any of you conservatives off-guard).
They want to kill…kill…kill non-Christians in the name of God…God…God… as long they don’t have to do…do…do it themselves.
As for their human dignity (that belongs only to people who live free from government oversight and have right to, and control of, their personal lives), the Republicans rolled over and took it up the a** faster than a Kansas City whore, and continue to beg to more…more…more.
Get off your knees; you pathetic Republican pukes.
So far, Bush has invaded two of the absolute weakest countries on the face of the earth and cannot control either. Looks like Mohammed is giving Jesus a little a** whipping.
Oh No! Their make-believe imaginary supernatural being has opened a can of whup-a** on our make-believe imaginary supernatural being. Now, there’s a good reason for humans to go around killing each other.
How about this? Christians, Muslims, and Jews all agree that the Holy Land is in that part of the Middle East where conflict already rages. So, everyone who thinks that there is a God somehow involved in this mess - get off your asses, go over there and fight for what you believe in, and leave the rest of us alone – don’t write, don’t phone home, just go fight your own fight.

There was never a war on terror. Simply a ploy by the Bush administration to keep the masses scared and voting Republican. Why are we in Iraq anyhow?
