If you have two iPod, eg a Nano and a Photo, can they be linked to the same iTunes, and so have exactly the same music on them both? Or do they need separate programes, and maybe even separate computers? If they can be linked to the same iTunes, what happens when the smaller iPod gets full? Can you chose which songs go on?

Yes they can use the same iTunes, and you can determine which songs get uploaded. Just click on the iPod icon in the lower right hand corner of the iTunes browser, then you can configure which files will load to which iPod. You will do each configuration separately which each iPod connected at that time.

We have three iPods connected to ours with three completely different playlists, so there's no problem!

the finest difficulty to do is to make a separate person on the laptop on your brother. iTunes isn't made to handle distinct libraries. positive, you would possibly want to attempt this shift key difficulty, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not have a tendency to bypass nicely. it really is yet another theory: percentage. you may have diverse debts that you purchase with to save track. If he needs an app, he buys it, and also you would possibly want to apply it. in case you want an app, you purchase it and he can use it. this is at the same time valuable.

Renee is correct. You also have the option to name each ipod. Until recently i knew absolutely nothing about them but its quite easy really. Im the only one in my family who doesnt have an ipod, im just the one in charge of organising the playlists and charging them, dont you think that deserves an ipod? maybe a nice funky pink one?
