how to remove the name of the website which you have already typed in the adressbar

open internet explorer.
then tools---> internet options
in the general tab - click clear history and change the number next to that button to 0.
then click Content tab.
then click Autocomplete.
in the new window that appears remove all the ticks you see.
click ok
click ok

click in the address bar to highlight the entire web address and then either backspace which will remove the address or retype a new address.
