A wise person uses his experience in life to make sensible decision and judgement. Whereas, an intelligent
person has the ability to understand and learn things quicklly. I suppose when you're young it's better to be
intelligent and when you grow old you become wise.

Wise is like effortless knowing. Or knowing through experience.
Intelligence is to me, learning mainly from books and thinking patterns such as 1+1=2 therefore 1+1+1=3 etc.
Wisdom is common sense and being street smart. Intelligence is about using learning tools and having a good ability to work things out than already knowing the answer, or being intuitive and giving advice (wisdom)
A young person can be intelligent but they can't be wise. I think therefore it is better to be intellgent because surely wisdom will come in time ?

Wise and not intelligent-Might not excel in academic settings, but streetwise and responsive to environmental ques and possessive on innate knowledge.
Intelligent and not wise-suggests having the ability to excel in academic areas, at least that is what most current intelligence tests measure for people who have the ability to read and write.
Hmmm. If I found myself in a new country where I do not speak the language, read the writing, understand the culture, which would serve me best?
I would go with wisdom.

I'll take 'wisdom' for 500 Alek. To be intelligent means to have the ability to figure things out, but to have wisdom means that you understand and have learned from the experiences that you've had. A wise person's learned from their mistakes- I'll go with that.

some pretty intelligent people don't have much wisdom, but one having wisdom may have more to offer then the one with intelligence. It's more important to have wisdom

Intelligent means to be good in studies and knowledge. Wise means to be sharp brained. We have to be both as to be good in studies and to be able to cope up with problems.

wisdom is natural instinct, being in touch with yourself and surroundings, common sense.
intelligence is simply the capacity to take information and spit it back out.
thats a tough call, i think wisdom is slightly more valuable. it doesnt matter what you know if you cant have a sense of balance to make the right decisions. then again you cant make the right decisions without and grasp of the facts beyond reasonable doubts you may be feeling. both are necessary.

Being intelligent means knowing the right thing.
Being wise is to know the right thing to do.
In my opinion, it is better to be wise.
