Always work and rework the assigned problems. I used to always get A's in my Physics classes by having a very narrow mind. I only wanted A's, so I just did the same assigned problems over and over again until I was blue in the face.
But, now that I look back on it, I understand that I went way overboard. Always make it a point to get out and have some fun.
Another important point is that in a subject like Physics the method is far more important than the final answer. When reworking your Physics problems, focus your attention on setting up the problems using the Physics principles you are in the process of learning rather than on using your calculator to compute the final numbers.
This same strategy works for every subject. For example, for German class, I always did the assigned homework over and over again. And whenever I read my German, I actually spoke it aloud. In my two years of German class I had about one quiz per week. On every one of them, except one, I earned an A; for the one exception, I got lazy and earned a B. For all of my German courses I got very strong A's.

Study well in advance of the test; break the material up into sections, and plan out ahead of time what sections you're going to cover on what days. That way you can be sure to cover everything you need to. And be careful about studying in groups; a little group work can help clear things up now and then, but it can also be a total waste of time.

take yourself a certain amount of pages each day. Read it through aloud several times. Take a break, eat something, go for a walk or a run and return to your material. Read it through aloud several times again. Then ask someone to quiz you on the material. Make sure you dont study longer than 2 hours in one piece without taking 20 minute breaks in between. Allow yourself enough sleep, at least 8 hours, eat healthy, if youre stressed take 900mg st johns wort each day to keep your stress level under control. Set yourself goals (within a week i want to be through this book for example) and give yourself rewards each time you reached a goal. (for example go to the movies, go to a theme park, invite friends for a DVD afternoon, etc) If you study hard you will reach your goals!!!! I keep my fingers crossed for you.
