man is a social animal.....as per my opinion i think that being able to interact freely with everyone makes u socially healthy and mentally firm....some people say being social depends upon the nature of that person by birth...but u can change it...if u are a kid you can go out playing with ur friends..drawing and painting with them...swimming-tennis-cricket-snake and ladder ect.....if ur a teen then go out with pals shopping-movies-fashion helds etc...here it is more thing.. u can help someone like-help poors on the road, help a crying person, help someone to pick up heavy shopping bags etc..but while approaching them be polite and make them trust you........if you want to be a wild social animal go out with ur group to pubs-discos-rallies...etc...this can make others aware that u exist in this world......interaction sould need fluency in that particular language.......if ur talking to a kid talk to him about his favourite hero or doll-batman barbie...with a student never talk about studies (except studious ) as the may feel bored to have the same life of studies in school and again with u.........rather u can talk to them about books-actors-racers..........with elders u need to talk with them with due respect though u hate that elder be polite.......they will have an excellent impression about u and would want their children to be in your company........with ur aged people never act foolishly instead take everything coolly...........there are many more things but to sum up them all one best solution-EXPRESS YOUR INNER SELF AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND OTHERS FEELINGS RATHER THAN GIVING INTELLIGENT SOLUTIONS.

I believe if the asking is done with politeness and a soothing tone, then others will react in a positive manner, when denying or refusing, should also be in a compassionate tone, therefore you are not sounding aggressive and the response may be appropriate, accepting the others response is another thing, you may not always hear what you want, and that is your own personal issue you have to work on.
You can always be stern when asking and denying, and still be productive at the same time and not sound argumentative.
